APPLICATIONS

XHHW-2 AL building wire is intended for general purpose applications utilized in conduit and tubing underground in conduit, or other recognized raceways for services, feeders, and branch-circuit wiring as specified in the UsA National Electrical Code (NEC). XHHW-2 AL is permitted for 600-volt applications and can be used in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C. It’s suitable for applications requiring low-leaking circuits and a dielectric constant of 3.5 or less. With the special insulation, the wire requires no lubrication for installation.

APPLICATIONS

THWN-2 building wire with aluminum alloy 8000 series conductors are intended for general purpose applications asdefined by the USA National Electrical Code (NEC). It is permitted used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders,and branch circuits in commercial or industrial new construction or rewring for 600 volt applications. For applicationsrequiring it is appropriate for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90’C. The wire is designed to beinstalled without application of a pulling lubricant.

SE-R AL (Aluminum Alloy Conductor -Serice Entrance Cable Style R) is used to convey power from the service drop tothe meter base and from the meter base to the distribution panel board; however, it may be used in all applications whereSE-R AL cable is permitted. SE-R AL may be used in wet or dry above ground locations at temperatures not to exceed90°C. The voltage rating is 600 volts.
